If you do not really do not need to understand. This procedure can be dangerous. Do I have my 1st Pregnancy had have done, although it has 30 doctors thought that my child would have cystic fibrosis. I was shocked and terrified without knowing what is expected or not. As proposed, amniocentesis, only to be checked. This process takes about 5-7 months.
The process: You have a dark room with an ultrasound device. They live a long needle and check the baby. With the discovery that they insert the needle into the baby as possible. It can be dangerous, because the bite puncture the bag or the baby. It hurts. For two days he was told to relax and gain nothing, although bed rest.
btw my son was perfectly healthy, and most have a 100% accurate, would the child through amniocentesis. Good luck

I had an amniocentesis with my 2nd pregnancy approximately 16 weeks, because my triple test to screen view of blood told me that I had a 1 in 100, when the birth of a child swallows. The risk of miscarriage if I did not know who did because the results do not change anything. Everything went very well. Later I learned the Triple-Screen, a high probability of being wrong. In general, an amniocentesis when they review concerns about a birth defect or have lung maturation in cases of premature birth. From what they told me the results of amniocentesis are very accurate. I was told that 99%. Good luck to you.
I forgot to add that my daughter has a scar on his thigh where the needle actually amnio came looking for him in the U / S screen, when I saw that it has really tried to flee, was sad. After the birth of his doctor, he said, the reality is what it was. The procedure was not painful for me, though.

Please no, unless absolutely necessary. It can not only choose to do, is risky for baby. I had one with my twins, they many changes in the brain, and so saw ultrasound. They take a long time, the needle and put it in your stomach area in the uterus. They monitor the baby on ultrasound to ensure that (they do not touch what does not guarantee that babies do not .... it .....). It hurts to move and can cause a miscarriage. You can for your uterus contracting to begin in turn causes abortion. My twins went very well! Normally, only this procedure is Down's syndrome is suspected, so please check rather than punishment. Congratulations on your pregnancy and good luck.
